Papyrus of Qenna

For the exhibition Papyrus of Qenna, we brought an ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead to life with animations. The manuscript is more than seventeen meters long and over three thousand years old.

The original drawings were carefully scanned and digitally processed so that the magical spells and divine figures could come alive again. The life-size projections fill the space and make the often complex stories easy for everyone to understand.
